What does it mean to be a SYP?

  1. Connect with experts within and beyond your fields of interest.

  2. Learn from seniors and leaders in the field about current global health issues and events that may be of interest to you.

  3. Get career advice from mentors who have been in your position before and know about starting a career inglobal health.

  4. Develop partnerships with global health experts to help further their interests and develop necessary skills to be competitive in the job market.

  5. Gain volunteer experience and the opportunity to start new global health projects and interventions.

 

 

 

What is expected of you as a SYP?
  1. Be knowledgeable in your field of expertise and academic specialties.

  2. Engage the team in productive conversation.

  3. Attend meetings with the team in a timely fashion. Anticipate your own time constraints when scheduling meetings

  4. Provide feedback to the GH Me team.

  5. Be attentive and genuinely interested in the members of the team and answer their questions.
