What does it mean to be a Global Health Me Mentor?

  1. The opportunity to guide and shape the next generation of global health professionals.

  2. The opportunity to give back to the global health community that you are part of.

  3. Engage in a academicand professional relationships with global health professionals of all levels and increasing your own knowledge and leadership skills.

  4. Participate in an exchange of new ideas and fresh view points in global health.

  5. Recruit young talented volunteers/interns/employees that you can personally train for specific opportunities.

 

 

Expectations of a Mentor
  1. Be knowledgeable in your field of expertise and academic specialties.

  2. Engage the team in productive conversation.

  3. Attend meetings with the team in a timely fashion. Anticipate your own time constraints when scheduling meetings.

  4. Provide feedback to the GH Me team.

  5. Be attentive and genuinely interested in the members of the team and answer their questions.
